The way I do it, I usually don't go for the Single Long Stroke technique (SLS, lol), as its results can be varied in terms of line quality/continuity. I usually don't get the line thickness/thinness I'm going for, and it's incredibly easy to have a movement "hiccup" and break the flow of the line, resulting in a dented thigh, face or what have you.
There is something called "Brain-Muscle Memory." It is essentially when the brain memorizes certain movements through constant repetition. In this case, as you draw or ink more, the brain will learn to incorporate those sets of actions (pencil/pen strokes) as part of its subconscious library.
Basically, the more you draw/ink/color the easier it will become to accurately reproduce those results. In my case, I actually ink my lines using short, controlled bursts, and thanks to B-MM, am able to maintain a high percentage of accuracy. So I basically "build" up my lines, one short stroke at a time, but each stroke lands where the other left off, producing the line I want, while eliminating jaggedness. I mostly use this technique for the longer lines, the rest can be done normally.
Sorry for the length, but I hope that helps. The more you practice, the easier it will get!
